This is a personal blog, and it's built to respect you by default. Here's exactly what does — and doesn't — happen when you read it.

No cookies

The site sets no cookies. The only thing stored in your browser is your light/dark theme choice, kept in localStorage on your device so the page remembers how you like it. That never leaves your browser and is never sent anywhere. Because there are no non-essential cookies, there's no consent banner to click through.

No ads, no third-party tracking

There is no advertising, no ad network, and no social or marketing trackers — no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, nothing of the sort.

Privacy-friendly analytics

To get a rough sense of what people read, the site uses Umami, a cookieless, privacy-first analytics tool. It records anonymous, aggregated page views — it does not use cookies, does not build a profile of you, and does not collect personal data. Nothing here can identify you.

Hosting & content

The site is a static site hosted on GitHub Pages and served over HTTPS. As the host, GitHub processes standard request data (such as your IP address) to deliver the pages — see the GitHub Privacy Statement. DNS for the domain is handled by Cloudflare (DNS only — it resolves the address your browser looks up, but does not proxy the traffic, so page requests go straight to GitHub). Pages also load fonts from Google Fonts and, on some posts, embedded media (for example a YouTube video); those third parties may see your request as part of delivering that content. External links go wherever they say they go.
